Founding rates. The first partners in each country pay less than the standard rate, and keep that rate for as long as they hold the seat. They are paying less because they commit before the programme has a track record, and because they agree that we may publish how it went for them. It is a different deal, not a discount.

Verification is usually done from a distance: documents, licences, contact channels, complaint history. Field Tested is the other kind. One of our editors travels to the business, stays, eats, takes the tour, and writes what happened.

The fee covers the journey and the editor’s time. It does not cover the outcome.
If the visit goes badly, nothing is published, the fee is not refunded, and the existing Verified listing is reassessed on what we found. We say this plainly because a paid visit that could only ever end well would be worth nothing to the person reading it.
Travel costs are quoted and invoiced separately. Price depends on distance and length of stay, so we quote per case.

A category across the whole site, a country for a year, or a single story. None of it is Verified and none of it carries a verdict: these are placements and editorial programmes, bought for process, profile and distribution.

See it on the page - a sample →You know your country better than any travel publisher does. What you cannot produce is something that reads as independent - because it is written by people who also publish the visa rules, the seasonal drawbacks and the practical difficulties.
That is what this partnership is. You supply what you already have. We write.

What this is not. Not advertorial - we write it, and we do not send it for approval. Not a licence over the entry, visa or safety sections; those stay outside the agreement entirely. Not a claim that we recommend travel to your country irrespective of conditions - if an advisory or an entry restriction applies, we publish it, partnership or not. Not a subdomain, a separate site, or use of the ExplWorld name away from ExplWorld.
What we need from you. Material, not money for material: photography with clearance, regional and seasonal data, contacts at regional offices, and a named person we can ask questions.
If we do not deliver. The audit is attached to the agreement, so what we owe you is a named list of sections rather than a promise about effort. If those sections are not delivered by the end of the term, the term extends month for month, at no charge, until they are.
Optional - a reporting trip. An editor travels to the country and reports from it, at a date we choose, published under their own name. From €3,500 / $3,780 plus travel, quoted per case. It is reporting, not verification: countries are never Verified and there is no mark at the end of it.

Editorial control stays here. You see it when the reader does. There is no approval step, no copy sign-off and no veto on the parts that are unflattering - if what we find does not support the story you hoped for, that is the story we publish. A sponsored feature nobody believes is worth nothing to you either.
Affiliate partnerships
Products our editors genuinely travel with, placed in Trip Essentials on country guides and routes. We decline more than we accept, links are tracked, and the placement is labelled. No fee - we earn a share when a reader buys.
Seats are deliberately scarce - six Verified per country, at most two of them Plus, four Global Partners worldwide, one tourism board per country - because a recommendation only holds value while it is rare. When a country is full, the waitlist is chronological. Founding rates are held for as long as the partner holds the seat. Every offer on this page is governed by the Partner Terms.
Partners pay for verification and placement - never for the verdict. Our editors keep the final word, always.
