What you may do with our work
Everything here — text, photography, the data compilations behind the tools — is protected by copyright. You may quote a short excerpt with attribution and a link. Republishing whole articles, or scraping the guides and the index data to rebuild them elsewhere, requires written permission and we do give it; ask at editors@explworld.com.
Accuracy, and its limits
Travel information goes out of date faster than any editorial process can follow. Visa rules change overnight. Prices move with the season. A border closes and nobody announces it.
Everything on this site is editorial guidance, not legal, medical or financial advice. Verify entry requirements with the destination's own authorities and your foreign ministry before you travel — our visa data is a starting point for that conversation, never the end of it. Decisions you make on the basis of this site are yours, and ExplWorld is not liable for their outcome.
Your account
An account is free, and it stays free. It exists so you can watch countries, keep a map, and save things you want to find again.
You are responsible for your password. Tell us if you think someone else has it.
We may suspend or close an account that is used to scrape the site, to abuse other people, or to misrepresent itself. We will say why.
You can leave whenever you like. Deleting your account in Account settings removes it, and gives you a copy of what we held on you on the way out. Nothing is kept afterwards except what we are legally required to keep.
We do not promise an account will always work, and we may change what it does.
Commercial placements
Listings marked ExplWorld Verified are paid placements that passed our verification. Sponsored stories are labelled as sponsored. Affiliate links are marked and may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.
None of that buys a position. Commercial relationships never influence a score, a ranking, an ordering or a recommendation anywhere on this site. If you ever find evidence otherwise, we want to hear about it more than you want to tell us. Third-party sites
Links leave here and land somewhere we do not control. Their terms and their privacy practices are theirs, and we take no responsibility for what happens after the click.
What you send us
Submitting an enquiry or a pitch means you have the right to send what you sent. You keep ownership of it. We use it only to answer you or, for commissioned work, on the terms agreed in writing at the time.
Availability
We do not promise the site is always up, always complete or always current. Features may change or disappear.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Disputes go to the courts of the Slovak Republic. If a court finds any part unenforceable, the rest still stands.
If you are in the EU and you are using this site as a consumer, this does not take away rights your own country's law gives you.
Changes
We change these terms from time to time. The version and the date it took effect are at the top of this page.
If a change is significant, we will say so before it applies, and if you have an account we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in. Carrying on using the site after that means you accept it.
