Open your email and follow the installation steps over Wi-Fi - one tap on iPhone, a QR scan elsewhere. On most plans installing does not start the clock (the plan page says when it does), and your usual SIM stays put.

In Settings → Mobile Service (or Cellular), look for Add eSIM. Then check Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock: "No SIM restrictions" means the phone is unlocked. Confirm the exact model and region with Apple - some regional variants have no eSIM.
Support depends on the exact model and country of purchase. This guide cannot verify your device by itself - the two checks above are yours to make.

Can I keep my number and WhatsApp?
Yes. Your usual SIM stays installed and keeps your number; the travel eSIM carries the data. WhatsApp, Signal and the rest keep working on your existing account. Calls and SMS on your usual line follow your home operator's roaming charges.
Do any plans include calls or SMS?
Most travel eSIMs are data-only. Where a plan includes call minutes or SMS it says so on its tile and in the summary before you pay - the exact minutes and messages included. A data-only plan never gets a local number.
When does my plan start?
Installing and activating are separate steps. On most plans you install on Wi-Fi whenever you like and the validity clock starts when the eSIM first connects at your destination. A plan that starts at installation says so on its page - install those on the day you fly.
Can I share data with my laptop?
Hotspot support and any allowance depend on the package and the local network. Check the plan's details before buying - particularly for unlimited plans, which can carry their own fair-use rules.
What if I'm visiting more than one country?
Choose a regional or global plan and read its full included-country list on the plan's page. A region's name alone does not guarantee that every stop on your route is covered.
What if the eSIM will not install?
A package that has been installed cannot be returned. If an eSIM fails to install at all, write to us with your order reference and we make it right - a replacement or a full refund.
