Brussels is a low-emission zone with camera enforcement and foreign vehicles must register in advance online - a common and avoidable fine. Antwerp and Ghent have their own zones. Ghent's centre is largely car-free. The rural priority-to-the-right rule still applies at unmarked junctions and surprises visitors.
