Tolls
The Great Belt bridge and the Öresund bridge to Sweden are both tolled and expensive - around €33 and €60 respectively for a car.
Headlights
Mandatory at all times, day and night, year-round.
Child seats
Mandatory under 135 cm.
Watch for cyclists at every turn - Danish drivers check right before turning as a reflex and visitors do not. The two big bridges are the main cost of driving here; the Great Belt ferry alternative no longer exists for cars.
